- Bait is one way to improve the efficiency of a catching pot but however the success of bait was unknown. This research is an experiment using a different baits, namely the entrails of fish dasyatis, salted sardinella and fresh sardinella that are wrapped by a net. The purpose of this research are to find comparisons of the efficiency of the catching pot by using a different baits and to know the composition of the catching pot in Estuary Tebo Nelayan 1 District Sungailiat Bangka. A method of the collecting of sample catching swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) by using pot. The highest catches of the fish in the research are using salted sardinella as much as 173, followed by using entrails of dasyatis 96 and the lowest catches of the fish in the research are using fresh sardinella that are wrapped by a net as much as 72. From the research, there are two types of fish or spesies that are caught by using pot in Estuary Tebo, which are swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus) as the highest spesies that are caught in the research as much as 341 and the second spesies are mangrove crabs (Scylla Serrata) of as much as 11.
