- Development of a magnetic maze board play equipment for group B children in TK Bhakti Asuhan 1 Palembang has been conducted with the aim of producing a magnetic maze board play equipment by meeting valid and practical criteria but not testing the potential effects of the media. Subjects used in this study are children of group B in kindergarten Bhakti Asuhan 1 Palembang. This research type is Research Development and developed using a combination of Rowntree development model and Tessmer evaluation. The Rowntree development model consists of three stages, namely the planning, development and evaluation phase. At the evaluation stage, the formative evaluation proposed by Tessmer consists of four stages: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Technique of collecting data using method of interview, Walkthrough, observation. Research subjects were 12 children, 3 children at Oneto-one evaluation stage and 9 children at Small group stage TK Bhakti Asuhan 1 Palembang in the even semester of academic year 2017/2018. In the expert review obtained the average value of the assessment results of experts of 3.84 categories is very valid because the material in accordance with the indicator of the material criteria on the media, the suitability of learning children aged 5-6 years, the suitability of the needs and development of children aged 5- 6 years, the benefits of media. In terms of media also in accordance with indicators of media coloring, media packaging, media usage, media design. Stage one to one and small group obtained the average of the observation of children by 77% Practical category means that the magnetic maze board play equipment is suitable to use and attract children.
