  • This study aims to find out how much influence economic growth, unemployment, education, and wages have on poverty in South Sumatera using panel data of 17 districts/cities in South Sumatera from 2013 to 2017. Panel data were analyzed using descriptive and multiple linear analyses with the fixed effect model (FEM). The result showed that (1) economic growth and wage had a negative and significant effect on poverty, and (2) overall, all variables simultaneously affected poverty and were able to explain 93.9 percent of poverty variations.
