  • This research is quantitative descriptive research which aims to know and describe students’ modelling skills in solving story problems at 8th grade secondary school 21 Palembang. The subjects of research are the 8th graders of secondary school number 21 Palembang consisting of 30 students. The technique used for collecting data of is written test which includes of three story problems. Based on the research result, it is obtained that the description of students’ modelling skills in solving story problems are enough categorized, with the details as the follow : 1 students are very good category; 17 students are good category; 6 students are enough category, 6 students are low category and no students are very low category.
