- The school is a formal educational institution entrusted by parents to educate their children in character building and a place in gaining knowledge. So that in choosing which school to entrust there are several factors that are taken into consideration by parents. One of the choices of parents today is the boarding school which requires every student to stay in the dormitory because this is where students will go through every aspect of Education. Boarding schools are also a complete picture according to Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the distribution of education consisting of formal, non-formal and informal education. One of the developing boarding schools in South Sumatra today is the Assalam Islamic Boarding School located in Musi Banyuasin Regency where each student is required to stay in dormitory to attend every process of Education. In the implementation of education, parents of students want to be involved in monitoring all the activities of their children and know the progress in science and religion caused because most parents of students are far from Musi Banyuasin. The distance is certainly a concern for students' parents in supervising the development of their children at the Assalam Islamic boarding school. So that the expectation is that parents can find out the information on their children's development in attending the dormitory in real time and accurately. To realize this, of course with the application of information technology that uses an Android-based information system because almost all parents of these students have used Android smartphones. So that with the development of this Androidbased Information System it can build a real-time communication container between teachers and parents.
