- The purpose of this research is to explained the Effectiveness of Communication of Sign Language Interpreters in News Broadcasts of TvOne towards Deaf Students of SMPLB and SMALB in SLB-B Negeri Pembina Palembang Year 2018. The problem in this study is to know how effective the sign language interpreters towards deaf student. The theory used in this study is the theory of the effectiveness of cummunication based on DRM according to duriano (2003). This research used quantitative research method. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis. The research instrument used are questionnaires and documention that spread directly to 40 students of SMPLB and SMALB in SLB-B Negeri Pembina Palembang. Through analysis data, by giving values for the answers selected using a Likert scale. After searched for the average value of the total score obtained, this research got scored 145,5 based on attention dimension which was very good, based on dimension of understanding its scored 152 which was very good, based on kognitif effect dimension its scored 164,5 which was very good, based on affective effect dimension its scored 151,5 which was very good, and behavioral dimension scored 145,4 which was very good. From all those parameters its concluded that the result of this research showed the Effectiveness of Communication of Sign Language Interpreters in News Broadcasts of TvOne towards Deaf Students of SMPLB and SMALB in SLB-B Negeri Pembina Palembang Year 2018 is Effective.
