The results of this study indicate that there has been a change in the inheritance system in Batak people who have moved from their original place, which initially requires men to be heirs while women who are not heirs now have a similar position to men and women in the inheritance system. in the Batak community. The process of change that occurs includes conformity and innovation and does not exist in ritualism. The source of the changes is that the Batak women have higher education and have mixed marriages with people outside the Batak.
