- This study aims to produce a work sheet based on problem solving material of NKRI region on the subject of PPKn to improve the critical thinking skills of SMA. The method of this research is development research method using Rowntree development model and Tessmer evaluation. The data analysis technique using walkthrough, observation and questionnaire. The validation of this research involves of instructional design with an average of 4.1 is valid, validation of material with a mean of 4.0 is valid and validation of language with average of 4.4 is stated very valid. To assess the practicality of using the one to one stage with an average of 4.3 including the very practical category and small group stage with an average of 4.3 including very practical category. Field test stage to determine the potential effect of students' work sheet based problem solving material of NKRI region of researcher using observation sheet and questionnaire. At the observation stage that obtained students 'critical thinking ability of 81% with very good category, then at the stage of spreading questionnaire students' critical thinking ability of 85.4% with very good category. The result of the research shows that the work sheet of students based on problem solving in NKRI region is valid, practical and potential effect to improve students' thinking ability in SMA Negeri 11 Palembang.
