  • The title of this research is "Development of Plane Geometry Media Based on the Sense of Touch for 2 Year Olds at Matahari Play Group Palembang ". This research aims to produce a feasible practical and valid plane geometry media based on the sense of touch but does not test the potential effects of the media. The subject of this research were three children at one to one evaluation stage, nine children at small group evaluation stage of PG2 Play Group and the object of this research is plane geometry media based on the sense of touch. This research in its development uses a combination of Rowntree's development model and Tessmer's evaluation. The Rowntree development model consists of three stages, namely the planning, development and evaluation phases. At the evaluation stage, the formative evaluation proposed by Tessmer consists of five stages, namely self evaluation stage, expert review, one-to-one, small group evaluation. Techniques of collecting data using walkthrough and observation techniques. Expert review results from the walkthrough techniques validation of materials experts of 3.6% while the validation results from media / product experts amounted to 3.7% with average result 3,65 % with very valid category. On observation techniques average, in one-to-one evaluation, the average of children's observation result is 88% with very practical category. While in the small group evaluation stage, the average result on observation is 88,8% with very practical category. Thus it can be concluded that the flat-sense geometry media based on the sense of touch is declared valid and practical for use in children in the learning process and learning takes place.
