- SUMMARY The land use change that occurred in Tebing Abang Village was caused by the production of rubber that was not optimal and also caused by fluctuations in rubber prices which always made the families of rubber farmers in Tebing Abang village fret. The existence of land conversion in the Tebing Abang Village certainly has a positive and negative impact on the socio-economic conditions of the community, especially which will have an impact on the welfare level of the farmer's family. This study generally aims to identify and analyze the welfare level of farmer families in Tebing Abang Village, measured using the concept of Family Welfare from BKKBN. The method used is quantitative comparative. The population in this study were 85 farmer families who did the conversion of chicken farm rubber land. The study sample was 85 families. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The variables in this study consisted of only one single variable, namely the level of family welfare. Data analysis uses percentage and scoring as well as paired sample t test analysis. From the calculation results using paired sample t test, obtained a calculation of 11.444 and Ttable 1.99962 with a significance level of 0.00 and a confidence level of 95 percent, which means the value of Tcount ≥ Ttable and significance level ≤ 0.05 so that it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Where it can be concluded that there is a difference between before land conversion and after the occurrence of land conversion in increasing welfare. Family welfare after land conversion is far greater than family welfare before land conversion occurs. Keywords: Land Function, Welfare, Farmer Family
