  • This research title is "Development of Comic Learning Media Theme of the Universe For Children group B in TK Negeri pembina 1 Palembang".Research aims to produce a comic learning media of valid and practical universe theme. The research uses a combination of Rowntree's development model which consists of three stages, namely the planning, development, evaluation phase, while Tessmer's formative evaluation consists of four stages: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one and small group evaluation. Research subjects are children of group B12 in TK Negeri Pembina 1 Palembang and the object is a comic book theme of the universe. The data collection technique uses walkthrough in the expert review stage consisting of material experts and media experts to test the validity of the comic media theme of the universe, and observation in the stage of one to one and small group evaluation to see the practicality of the comic media theme of the universe viewed from the ease of use and benefit of such media. Results for the validation phase of the material of 3.81 with the category is very valid, for media validation stage of 3.62 with very valid category. So obtained the average value of validation of material and media of 3.72 with the category is very valid. In one to one stage, the average of observation result on subtheme of natural objects is 83 (very practical category), Subtheme of sky objects is 78 (practical category), Subtheme of natural phenomena is 81 (very practical category). The small group stages showed an average of observations on subthemes of natural objects is 86 (very practical category), subthemes of sky objects is 85 (very practical category), Subtheme of natural phenomena is 92 (very practical category). So from all stages that have been done, it can be concluded that the developed theme of the universe comic media declared valid and practical for children.
