This research aims to determined assertive behavior in group work on students of class VIII in SMP Negeri 52 Palembang. This research uses quantitative approach with survey method. The data collecting technique used is questionnaire of likert model consisting of four aspects, which is: honest, brave, clear, and non judgmental, consist with 47 item statements and given to 80 respondents from grade VIII selected based on consideration with purposive sampling technique. The result of the analysis shows that the behavior of the students in the group work is high.
