  • Background: Based on data from the Lahat District Health Office, exclusive breastfeeding in Lahat District is still below the target as in Pagar Agung Primary Health Care is still low (56%) in 2017. The figure is still below the District (75%) and National targets (80 %). This study aims to analyze the management of the Exclusive ASI program in the working area of the Pagar Agung Primary Health Care in Lahat Regency. Methods: This study applies a qualitative approach, data taken through Indepth Interview, document review, and observation. There were 14 informants from the Health Office, Health Center, Village Midwives, and Mothers breastfeeding infants aged 0-6 months. Research Results: Planning an Exclusive ASI program at Pagar Agung Primary Health Care was based on an evaluation of the previous year's report, Self-Monitoring Survey and Village Community Consultation (MMD) to find problems in the community. Organizing the division of tasks and characteristics of officers is in accordance with the competency of the officers. The implementation of this program conducts information dissemination activities, counseling, Integrated Service Post, classes for pregnant women, routine home visits, and lactation rooms. Supervision and control of this program conducts monitoring and evaluation and also direct and report monitoring. The output component in the program achievement has not been maximized because there are still obstacles that become obstacles to the achievement of the program, namely from the community. Conclusions: The management of the Exclusive ASI program at Pagar Agung Primary Health Care is appropriate, but there are still obstacles to the community. Suggestions for the Primary Health Care are to increase health education about breastfeeding and breastfeeding for pregnant women and breast care during pregnancy and to improve the role of health workers in Primary Health Care, maternity clinics, practice midwives, Integrated Service Post in providing information about exclusive breastfeeding to pregnant women, new mothers, and breastfeeding mothers so as to support the improvement of exclusive breastfeeding achievements in the working area of Pagar Agung Primary Health Care.
