  • Continuous flight delay happens to be a negative side that can cause losses and reduce customer satisfaction if not handled immediately. The right strategy is needed by the airlines and airports to further improve performance and can take steps that can anticipate and reduce the effects of these delays. This study aims to determine the forecasting of flight delay times at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport Palembang. The data used is a data delay for one year, amounting to 40992 data. This study uses the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) method which consists of 5 phases, namely data selection, pre-processing / cleaning, data transformation, data mining and interpretation / evaluation using the C4.5 algorithm. The results are known that the C4.5 algorithm can be applied to determine the flight delay time with an accuracy of 99.7% Confusion Matrix where the most delay time is at 17:30 with the number of cases 679 while for the airline the most frequent delay is Lion air with 3736 cases. Of the 40,992 cases tested there were 9738 cases with delay results and 31253 cases with no delay results.
