  • Yellow leaf curl virus disease is one of the important diseases in chili pepper that causes economically yield losses. The disease is transmitted by whitefly (Bemisia tabaci). This study aims was to determine the effect of amino-based fermented liquid on the development of yellow leaf curl virus disease and its vector on chili pepper. The trial was conducted twice and arranged in completely randomized design. Each trial consisted of 6 treatments of amino-based fermented liquid applied on plant infested with B. tabaci for 24-hr (experiment 2) and during experiment (experiment 1). Overall, the results of both studies indicated low incidence and severity of disease, but were not significantly affected by treatments. The population of B. tabaci was higher in the first study with similar colonization in both studies, but not significantly affected by treatments. Plants in the first study were higher than the second study, but were not significantly affected by treatment. In the first study with abundant B. tabaci populations, plants grew more inhibited than non-infested crops.
