  • This research entitled "The Development Of Learning Materials For Sex Education Material Picture Story Child Renaged 5-6 Years In OLD Handayani Palembang" aims to develop learning materials for sex education material picture story children ages 5-6 years tested validity and practicality. This research uses a model of development and evaluation of Rowntree’s and Tessmer’s. Rowntree’s model consists of three stages, namely the planning phase, the development phase and the evaluation phase. The formative evaluation stage Tessmer’s that consists of five stages, the stage of self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, smallgroup evaluation and field test evaluation. Data collection technique use walkhtrough in the form of a checklist sheet given to the expert review that gained an average rating of expert material and design of 3.74 very valid category as appropriate aspects of the assessment of the material and images. At this stage of evaluation, one to one and small group - stage evaluation get average value of observation of the child use materials of 95.8% and 96.5% of the categories is very practical for the child the appropriate social indicators emotional about sex education material the child. For practicality for teachers stage a one to one and small group-stage evaluation sheet now uses the form sheet checklist gets an average of 3.82 and 3.82 category and very practical for teachers to suit the material indicators child sex education and the benefits of learning materials.
