ANALISIS NILAI TAMBAH DAN STRATEGI PEMASARAN INDUSTRI KERIPIK UBI KAYU DI KOTA PALEMBANG

- The purpose of this research are : 1) to calculate the amount of income received by a cassava’s processing product, 2) to calculate a value added of cassava’s processing product, 3) to analyze and determines appropiate alternative strategies for household scale cassava chips industry. The research location was done purposively, that is entrepreneur of household scale cassava chips industry at Palembang city. The method used in this research was a survey method with the quistionaire. The data has been collected on August until September 2017. Total samples of the research are 3 samples of cassava chips industry. The data collected in this research were primary and secondary data. The results showed that the total revenue received by the three industries is Rp 5.235.128 per month for the first industry, Rp 4.190.913 for the second industry and Rp 5.070.728 for the third industry. The added value analysis that has been done by cassava chips industry can produce added value. The added value generated from the first industry was Rp 2.623, then the second industry generated added value of Rp 2.115 and in the third industry, the added value generated was Rp 2.391. Meanwhile, the result of internal factor assessment using the IFE matrix is known that the main strength of the industrial business is the industry recorded in the Palembang City Industry Agency with a weighted value of 0.36 and the price of an affordable product with a weighted value of 0.27 while the weakness has a major influence on marketing of cassava chips is the limited operational capital and label or brand on the packaging of products that are still less complete indicated by the weighted value of 0.10. On the external factors that become the main opportunities for industrial enterprises is the technological advances in production and communication as well as demand for chips that occur increased at the eve of Islamic major holidays, while each weight score is shown at 0.44 and 0.40 while the greatest threat is the product competition or the existence of similar industrial enterprises in large scale and broader distribution areas of competitors, indicated by a score of 2.61. Based on the calculation of IFE matrix and EFE matrix obtained the total value of 2.26 and 2.61, so that if mapped into the matrix IE the position of the industrial business is in the V cell that is to hold and maintain.
