  • Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access or abbreviated with WiMAX is a Wireless network technology that has a wide range of up to 50 km with access speeds up to 70 Mbps. WiMAX supports real-time applications, such as video telephony. Video telephony is a real-time application that allows users to meet face-to-face and talk directly. Parameters that affect the quality of video telephony are delay and packet loss. In order to minimize these two parameters, this research will use four scheduling service of WiMAX. The purpose of this research is to determine the suitable scheduling mechanism that is used for video telephony. The results of this research are delay value that using controlled delay is 819,14 ms smaller than using WiMAX service class mechanism that is 872,624 ms and packet loss percentage that using controlled delay mechanism is 16,33% smaller than using WiMAX service class which is has percentage 17,26%.
