  • This study has a purpose that is to be able to know whether there is influence of cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together to the motivation of learning grade VII students at SMP Negeri 18 Palembang Previously samples taken by purposive sampling there are 32 students who made the experimental class and 32 students made the control class. The data collection techniques using documentation and questionnaires. It can be concluded that there is a not significant influence from the influence of cooperative learning type numbered heads together on the motivation of studying students of class VII in SMP Negeri 18 Palembang. This can be proved from the result of questionnaire data processing of students' learning motivation in the experimental class where obtained the mean of student learning motivation percentage of 78,59% with good learning motivation category, whereas when compared with mean of student learning motivation percentage in control class that get result equal to 77 , 53% with good learning motivation category. Thus, the hypothesis of research that states "there are not significant influence of cooperative learning type numbered heads together against the motivation of learning class VII in SMP Negeri 18 Palembang". In other words it can be concluded that the learning motivation of students who use cooperative learning type numbered heads together higher than those who do not use numbered heads together.
