  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology for identifying an object using electromagnetic waves (radio) through a device called a tag. Identification is using reader, tag, and antenna. To get a maximum performance of RFID technology in a room with not so large scale, The K Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm is used to calculate the error value obtained from the reader and antenna that identifies the Tag. The algorithm is applied in an automatic calculation program designed using the Python programming language, using Jetbrains Pycharm software. After doing the test and experiment for the target tags, using each of the 4 reference tags, the test results and experiments do not differ greatly from the actual coordinates of the Tag detected, for the target A tag with the percentage value of the error coordinates of (x = 6.3%), (y = 3%), and (z = 0.01%). Error value The target tag A of 4 reference tags is (x = 6.3 cm), (y = 1.05 cm), and (z = 0.4cm). Meanwhile, the coordinate error value against the axis (xe, ye, ze) for target B tags with a percentage value of coordinate error of (x = 3%), (y = 4%), and (z = 0%). Error value The target tag B of 4 reference tags is (x = 3.3 cm), (y = 2.8cm), and (z = 0 cm).
