  • This study was aimed to determine the effect of blade rotation speed and blade type on the performance of modified mini portable cultivator machines in the weed weeding process. This study was conducted using the Factorial Random Group Design method (RAKF) with two treatment factors the blade rotation speed consisting of three levels, namely 250 rpm ± 10, 300 rpm ± 10 and 350 rpm ± 10 and the type of blade consisting of three levels namely cultivator blade tipe E, cultivator blade type J and cultivator blade type S. This study uses three parameters, namely effective capacity (ha/hour), fuel consumption (L/hour) and weed weeding efficiency (%). The results of this study indicate that the difference in blade rotation speed has a significant effect on effective capacity (ha/hour), fuel consumption (L/hour) and weed weeding efficiency (%). The interaction of the combination of blade rotation speed and blade type significantly affected the effective capacity of the machine. The best treatment is in the combination treatment of blade rotation speed of ± 350 rpm and cultivator blade type E (A3B1), namely the effective engine capacity of 0.0148 ha/hour, fuel consumption (A1B1) of 1.08 L/h and weed weeding efficiency (A3B1) of 98.42%.
