- This study entitled Effectiveness of Management of official vehicle maintenance budgets at the Department of Marine and Fisheries of South Sumatra Province. This research is motivated despite the budget allocation for maintenance of official vehicles but there are still official vehicles included in the list of assets that are in a state of severe damage or cannot be used. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of the Management of Vehicle Maintenance Budget in the Department of Marine and Fisheries of South Sumatra Province. To find out these problems the theory used is Rahardjo Adisasmita who looks at problems from 3 aspects, namely, planning, implementation, and supervision. This study uses qualitative methods, while for data collection techniques using observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of the management of official vehicle maintenance budgets at the Maritime and Fisheries Service of South Sumatra Province has not gone well because the implementation of the proposed budget is not in accordance with what was proposed so it is not efficient in the implementation process. being in a state of severe damage or not being treated because of insufficient budget. This study recommends that the South Sumatra Provincial Office of Marine and Fisheries be expected to have employees who are able to handle the budget proposal process so that it fits what is proposed so that it can maintain damaged service vehicles.
