  • MARELY. The Effect of Strip Blade Rotation and Straw Moisture Content to The Performance of Chopper Modified From Power Thresher (Supervised by Hersyamsi and Tri Tunggal). This research objective was to know the effect of blade rotation and straw water content to the enumeration machine performance of power thresher. This research was conducted from October 2018 until January 2019 at The Machinery Workshop of Agricultural Technology Department, Agricultural Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, South Sumatera. The method that used was Factorial Group Randomized Design with two research factor, which were the speed roatation (A) and straw water content (B) with three level of treatment and every treatment combination was repeated as much as three times. The parameters of this research were the machine effective capacity, the chopping uniformity, and fuel consumption. The results of this research showed that the highest effective capacity was got from the treatment combination of A2B3 which was equal to 9.47 kg/hour with blade rotation speed of 1150 rpm ±10 and straw water content of 12 % ±. The highest value of chopping rendemen was found in A2B3 treatment combination that was equal to 80.67 persen with blade rotation speed of 1150 rpm ± 10 and straw water content of 12% ± 2. The highest fuel consumption was found in the combination of A3B3 treatment which was 1.22 L / hour with a 1000 rpm blade rotation speed and the type of straw plant material with a moisture content of 12% ± 2, while the lowest fuel consumption was in the A1B1 combination of 0.072 L / hr with knife rotation speed 1000 rpm ± 10 and straw water content 16 % ± 2.
