  • The research objective was to determine proper composition of crumb rubber chip waste by considering water storage effieciency and high yield of kailan (Brassica oleraceae var. Acephala). This research conducted from Januari 2019 to June 2017 at green house of Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. Then this research used non-factorial randomized block design which consisted of composition of crumb rubber chip waste (A) using five replications. The parameters were water storage efficiency, fresh weight matter, dry weight matter, number of leaves, plant hight, and root dry weight. The result of research showed that addition of crumb rubber chip waste had effected on water storage efficiency and yield of kailan. The best treatment (A2) was addition 0.25 proportion of crumb rubber chip waste based on water storage efficiency, fresh and dry weight of plant, number of leaves, height of canopy, and dry weight of root were: 73,13%, 146,67 g, 27 g, 12,27 helai, 16,87 cm, dan 6,59 g by using drip irrigation system.
