DESULFURISASI DIBENZOTIOFEN MENGGUNAKAN KATALIS HIDROKSI LAPIS GANDA Ca/Al YANG TERINSERSI SENYAWA POLIOKSOMETALAT K4[α-SiW12O40]•nH2O

- The insertion of Ca/Al layered double hydroxide with polyoxometalate K4[α-SiW12O40] .nH2O was performed by comparison (1: 1). The insertion compounds were characterized using spectrophotometer FT-IR and XRD. Layered double hydroxide inserted by polyoxometalate compound is used as catalyst for desulfurization of dibenzothiophene. The result of characterization using XRD with ratio (1: 1) shows the successful insertion of K4[α-SiW12O40] .nH2O compound with layered double hydroxide that sustain the increasing distance between layers from 4,785 Ȧ to 4,838 Ȧ at 18o diffraction angle. The result of characterization using FT-IR spectrophotometer simply indicate a good insertion process. Furthermore, the Ca/Al layered double hydroxide inserted by K4[α-SiW12O40] .nH2O compound applied as desulfurization catalyst of dibenzothiophene by generating optimum conditions such as reaction time for 45 minutes at 50 °C with 0.05 g amount of catalyst and 4 mL of hydrogen peroxide.
