  • The Styrene Monomer Plant is planned to be located in the area of East Kalimantan, covering an area of 6 hectares with a capacity of 160,000 tons / year. The process of making this Stirena Monomer uses the raw material Methanol and Toluene with Copper Oxide as a catalyst. The reaction takes place at a pressure of 1.5 atm and a temperature of 550 C (US 9,272,962 B2). The reactor used is a Multitubular Fixed Bed Reactor. With the reaction that occurs as follows: o Reaction 1 : CH3OH + 1⁄2 O2 CH2O + H2O Reaction 2 : CH2O + C7H8 C8H8 + H2O The company is a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a Line and Staff organizational structure, which is led by a President Director with 169 employees. The results of economic analysis, the Styrene Monomer manufacturing plant made from Methanol and Toluene is declared feasible to be established.
