  • Research on the species diversity in the forest floor community HLGD montane region at an altitude of 2000 – 2500 meters above sea level have been conducted that aims to identify different types of plants and animals in these ecosystems. Research using descriptive methods. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. The results of plants and animals identification found 54 species of animals and plants consist of 18 species of plants and 36 species of animals. Magnoliophyta division consists of 6 species, Pteridophyta division consist of 9 species, Bryophyta division consist of 2 species, Basidiomycota division consist of 1 species, and spermatophyta consist of 1 species. Insects animal Class consists of 29 species, Arachnids consist of 3 species, 1 species of malacostraca, 1 species of chilopoda, 1 species of diplopoda and 1 species of mamalia. The forest floor community that have been founded is composed of a wide variety of plants and animals that each have certain characteristics that can be used to identify each species. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data and information in teaching high school biology class X in the second half on the Basic Competence 3.10 Analyzing information / data from various sources about the ecosystem and all the interactions taking place in it.
