  • Mudskipper (Periophthalmus boddarti) is one type of fish that life on mangrove ecosystem and known to produce toxin. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of toxicity of bioactive compounds in fish extract Gelodok. derived from Payung Island Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The research procedure includes; sampling, sample preparation, extraction, toxicity test by Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method and data analysis using Probit Analysis. The results of this study indicated that Mudskipper has high toxicited potential in meat extracts (DIGE) or internal organs (ODIGM) using ethyl acetate and methanol solvent with the value of LC50 <1000 μg / mL. The ability of toxicity of extract from fish P. boddarti is very big, on meat fish gelodok by using DIGM methanol solvent have high value 116,013 ppm, ODIGM 132.376 ppm, DIGE 164.090 ppm, and ODIGE 322.606 ppm.
