INSERSI SENYAWA POLIOKSOMETALAT H4[α-SiW12O40]∙nH2O PADA MATERIAL HIDROKSI BERLAPIS GANDA (Ca-Al) SEBAGAI ADSORBEN ION LOGAM BESI (II)

- Layered double hydroxide is the layered material that consists of two metal which is divalent metal and trivalent metal. The layered double hydroxide was modified to increase the basal spacing. The synthesis of layered double hydroxide and H4[α-SiW12O40]∙nH2O polyoxometalate has been done. The result of insertion was characterized using FT-IR spectrophotometer and XRD analysis. The layered double hydroxide inserted by H4[α-SiW12O40]∙nH2O polyoxometalate was applied as the adsorbent of iron (II) metal ion. The result of characterizing used XRD showed the success evident of insertion H4[α-SiW12O40]∙nH2O polyoxometalate on layered double hydroxide according to increasing the basal spacing of layered double hydroxide from 4,25 Å to 4,41 Å. Then, the layered double hydroxide inserted by H4[α-SiW12O40]∙nH2O polyoxometalate applied as adsorbent iron (II) metal ion with kinetics and termodinamics parameter. The results of adsorption rate is 10,34 minutes-1, adsorption capacity (b) 0,01192 mg/g at 50 ̊C, the largest adsorption energy was 8,116 kJ/mol at 30 ̊C.
