  • This study aimed to determine the effect of Time Token model on the speaking skill of grade V students of state primary school 245 Palembang. This study was conducted on the even semester in the academic year of 2017/2018 in the school. Yhe method used in this study was a Quasi Experimental Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The samples used in this study were class V A as experiment class and class V B as control class. The assessment instrument used was performance test. Data were considered as normal distribution based on the results of normality test of pretest and posttest data in both classes. Hypothesis test analysis used t test with real level of 0,05 and tcount = 3,46 and ttable = 2,002 were obtained so tcount > ttable, therefore, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It could be concluded that there was an effect of Time Token model on the speaking skill of grade V students of state primary school 245 Palembang.
