  • This study aims to determine the effect of local microorganisms stem and hump of “Pisang Lilin” (Musa acuminata Colla) to the growth of caisim (Brassica juncea L.). The experimental method used Complete Random Design (CRD) of factorial pattern consisting of 15 treatments and 3 repetitions. The first factor is the local microorganisms material consisting of banana stem (M1), banana hump (M2) and mixture of banana stem and hump (M3). The second factor is concentration consisting of 5% (K1), 10% (K2), 15% (K3), 20% (K4) and 25% (K5). The data was analyzed using ANAVA and Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The parameters observed were number of leaf, leaf area, wet weight of taruk, dry weight of taruk, root wet weight, root dry weight and root taruk ratio. The results showed that MOL material have no significant effect on caisim plant growth on all parameters. The MOL concentration and the interaction between MOL material and MOL concentration have significant effect in parameter of leaf number, leaf area, wet weight of taruk and wet root weight, but have no significant effect on dry weight of taruk, dry weight of root and root taruk ratio. The treatment of M1K3 is the recommended treatment to increase the growth of caisim plant because it gives optimum results. The results of this study can be used as information in Biology Learning on the first semester in XII class of SMA in Basic Competence 3.1 and 4.1 which is about the material of Growth and Development in Plants. The results of the study will be usedas a form of students worksheets.
