- The research on crustacean species in mangrove forests of coastal areas of south sumatera flame ports has been done. The purpose of the study was to obtain data on the types and characteristics of the region crustacean morphology. This research using descriptive method. Specimens were captured by hand and using traditional tool called bubu. Research was done directly through zigzag route in july 2017. The results of this study shown that there are various types of crustacean consist of seven types of crustasean consist of seven types of crustaceans was identified include two families are, in family Ocypodidae (Uca annulipes, Uca coarctata, Uca dussumieri, Uca oerstedi, Uca rosea, Uca sp), Famili Sesarmidae (Episesarma chengtongense). The result of the research was expected become initial information for further research and become biology study material in senior high school class X semester II at basic competence 3.9 apply classification principle to classify animal into phylum based on body shape, body symmetry, body cavity and reproduction.
