- This research is a quantitative descriptive research that aims to know and categorize the modelling ability of students grade 10th Senior High School Number 11 Palembang in solving the problem solving mathematical problems by referring to the modeling indicators for the competence of building models in GAIMME. Subjects in this study are 31 students of class 10th Science 4 in Senior High School Number 11 Palembang. This research uses test as data collection technique. From the results of data analysis was found that the modelling ability of the subject categorized as less and indicators which is categorized as the very less are define the variable and define the model.
