  • The Bungin River is one of the watersheds that has been potentially pollutes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the heavy metal of Cu in water and sediment and then to compare Cu concentration with a water and sediment quality standards. This research was done in May - June 2018. The heavy metal analysis used Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) AA-6300 and sediment grain was determined by using methods of sifting and piping. The results showed that the content of Cu in water was 0.017 - 0.028 mg/l lower than the heavy metal Cu in the sediment of 9.67 - 36.45 mg/kg. The content of Cu heavy metals in water was still below the maximum value of Cu heavy metals according to Hutagalung (1991) in Adhani and Husaini (2017), while the heavy metal content of Cu in sediment was still below the standard quality standard of CCME (2001) and MPCA (2007)
