  • Weather Research And Forecasting (WRF) or weather forecasting and research is a new generation weather model developed as a result of collaboration between NCAR's Mesoscale and Microsale Meteorology (MMM) and NOAA divisions and collaboration from a number of scientists. The model is intended for both the research and operational environment which is complemented by ideal dynamics studies, numerical weather prediction with full physical, regional air and climate quality simulations. The WRF model is designed to be very flexible, state of art and portable for a variety of computing and modular environments so that it can be configured according to research and operational interests. In this study the parameters used are temperature parameters. The WRF Output results were compared with data from BMKG SMB II to see how high the WRF was in measuring temperature. This study uses 3 domains, but is more focused on domain 3, namely, in Palembang, especially in Sultan Mahmud Badarudin II Airport with coordinates 2.89o LU and 104.70o BT. The results of temperature calculations using WRF were made in the form of visualization using GrADS Software using four observation points, among others, Sultan Mahmud Badarudin II Airport, Kenten Climatology Station, Sriwijaya University, Bina Darma University. Whereas for the WRF Output comparison of BMKG SMB II data, a graph of the comparison between WRF and BMKG SMB II Outputs was made with a time of three hours. The result of WRF output produces an error of less than 5%.
