  • Research on combination of biofertilizer and organic effect on the growth of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) has been done. The research was conducted in PT. MPA oil palm plantation, Bengkulu Province on September 2016 to March 2017. The research used with Completely Block Design which consists of six treatments and four replications. The treatment consisted of P0 (control), P1 (100% biofertilizer), P2 (25% biofertilizer + 75% organic), P3 (50% biofertilizer + 50% organic), P4 (75% biofertilizer + 25% organic), P5 (100% organic). The data were analyzed using ANAVA and BJND test. The results showed that the combination dose of biofertilizer and organic influenced the growth of oil palm. The different dose of the combination have a significant effect on several growth parameters such as, length of rakis, number of leaflets, leaflets length, width of leaflets, leaf area and chlorophyll content. P4 is the recommended treatment dose to increase the growth of oil palm, because it is the effective treatment. The information of this study hopefully can be an alternative of discovery learning example on Biology lesson grade twelve, Semester 1 on Basic Competence of 3.1 Analyzing the relationship between internal and external factors with the growth process and development on living things based on experimental results.
