  • The objective of this research was to determine the effect of the combination of activated carbon adsorbent from oil palm empty bunches which were activated with ZnCl2 and Moringa oleifera powder coagulant by aeration using an aerator tray on the physical, chemical and biological properties of swamp water. The experiment used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RALF) with three treatment factors and each treatment was repeated three times. The first factor is the aeration time (A) which consists of two treatment levels, namely A1: 5 minutes and A2: 15 minutes, the second treatment factor is the concentration of oil palm empty fruit bunch (B) adsorbent which consists of three treatment levels, B1: 5 g / L B2: 10 g / L and B3: 15 g / L and the third treatment factor is the concentration of moringa seed powder (C) which consists of four levels of treatment namely C1: 10 g / L C2: 15 g / L C3: 20 g / L and C4: 25 g / L. he parameters observed in the study included physical properties (TDS and turbidity), chemical properties (Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Organic Substances (KMnO4) and pH) and biological properties (E. coli content). The aeration treatment with an aerosol tray adosrben activated carbon palm oil bunches and coagulant of Moringa seed powder significantly affected the turbidity of pH, TDS, KMnO4 and Fe. Interaction The treatment of aeration with tray of aerator and adosrben activated carbon palm oil bunches had a significant effect on pH and TDS. Interaction Aeration treatment with tray aerator and coagulant of Moringa seed powder significantly affected TDS and Interaction Aeration treatment with tray aerator, activated carbon adosrben palm oil bunches and coagulant of Moringa seed powder significantly affected pH. Based on all parameters, A2B3C4 treatment with 15 minutes aeration time, 15 g / L adsorbent concentration and 25 g / L Moringa seed powder coagulant. It is the best treatment by producing turbidity test results of 0.31 NTU, results of 236.67 mg / l TDS test, pH test results 7.03 KMnO4 test results 11.80 mg / L, yield Fe test 0.07 mg / L and Mn 0.0012 mg / L.
