  • The Performance based reward system is one of the important control tools used by companies to motivate employees to achieve company goals with behavior in accordance with what is expected by the company. This study aims to analyze the performance based reward system in insurance agents are applied at PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) Branch Of Palembang. Methods of data collection through interviews and documentation. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive research. The results showed that the reward system implemented by PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) had run quite well, but there were still obstacles, namely there were still insurance agents who did not meet the target because of the difficulty in marketing insurance products due to lack of public awareness of the importance of having life insurance and they are also more interested in having damage insurance than life insurance.
