PERILAKU ASERTIF SISWA DI SMP SRIJAYA NEGARA PALEMBANG

- The Study is based on phenomenons that show the existence of some cases of assertive behavior in some students in school, so that many negative actions are done by students in school. The purpose of this study is to know the assertive behavior of students in SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang. The method which is used in this research is quantitave method with survey as the type of research. Uses quetionnaire with psychological scale og likert model with 39 items of statements distributed to 72 respondents from VII, VII and IX class and randomly selected by proportionate stratified random technique. Furthermore, the data is analyzed using the percentage formula (%). Based on the research result, assertive behavior of students in SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang as a whole can be seen that 13 students (18%) are in high category, 22 students (31%) are in moderate category and 37 students (51%) are in low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the assertive behavior of students in SMP Srijaya Negara Palembang is mostly located in the low category. From these results the author gives an advice to the schools and also the guidance counselors to be able to improve student an assertive behavior of the students through Counseling services such as providing group guidance, group counseling and individual counseling in accordance with the needs of students.
