  • The purposes of this research were: 1) analyze the income of oil palm farmers when the price is low and the price is high, 2) calculate the contribution rate of oil palm, non-palm oil and out-farm income to total household income of oil palm smallholders, 3 ) analyzing the level of welfareofoilpalm farmers to total income received inaccoredance with decent living needs Surya Adi village,Mesuji district of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency.Determination of this location is done purposively in Surya Adi Village,Mesuji district of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency and field research data collectionhas been done on December 2016. This research use survey method. The sampling is done by using simple random sampling method by taking 42 palm oil plasma farmers as sample in Surya Adi Village. Results of analysis ofaverage income of palmoil farmers at high fresh fruit bunches of Rp. 3.305.854,905 greater than the farmer’s income when the price islow at Rp. 273.088,241 with the difference of Rp. 3.302.766,664. Based on theresult of t-test,it can be conclude thatpalsma farmersincome when the price is high The result of analysis from contribution of average income of palm oil palm farmer from palm oil farming that is equal to 43,83 percent, less than contribution of average income of palm oil palm farmer from non-palm oil farming and non-farming that is equal to 56,27 percent. The result of analysis from standard of Decent Living Needs of oil palm farmer in Surya Adi village is Rp. 1,732,918.8 per month. The difference in the average family income with the average family Decent Living Needs is Rp. 371.766,2 per month so it can be concluded from the result of t-test analysis that total plasma farmer income due to price change of Fresh Fruit Brunch is significantly different to welfare in accordance with standard of Living Needs.
