- Along with the development of smartphone technology today requires us to always develop applications that can support various aspects of life, including in the field of tourism and culture. The tourism and cultural sectors are very diverse with their uniqueness and supported by transportation and facilities available in tourist areas can provide enormous government income. Therefore, through the design of making a tourism information system and culture will display and explain the description of tourism and culture in various districts and cities in South Sumatra making it more attractive and enjoyed by the wider community. The results is designed for tourism and culture information systems in South Sumatra Android-based. The method used in this design is V-Model. The tools used in this design process are SOAR and 5W+1H for the analysis, UML 2.0 diagram, android SDK, WinSCP,JRE and using blackbox testing to test the design results.
