PENERAPAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK MELALUI MODEL PAIRED STORY TELLING PADA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 238 PALEMBANG

- This research was aim at improving the sudents‟ listening skill by the application of audiovisual media through Paired Story Telling model at the fifth class SD Negeri 238 Palembang. This research uses classroom action research method in two cycles of action. Data collection techniques used are tests and observations. The classroom action research method has four stages that must be met, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of the research in this study is the grade VA students of SD Negeri 238 Palembang with number of 34 students, they are 18 boys and 16 girls. From the result of research indicated that the value of free writing poetry skill of students has increased, it can be seen in student's learning mastery in cycle I equal to 64,70% with average value 68, in cycle II student learning mastery increase until reach 85,29 % with an average value of 86,55. This was supported by the observation result, the activeness of students who have increased, in cycle I the percentage of active students in learning reached 70,58% with active category, in the second cycle has increased to 82,35% with very active category. So, it can be concluded that through the application of audiovisual media through learning Paired Story Telling model can improve the skills of listening to the story and learning activities of students of the fifth class SD Negeri 238 Palembang.
