UJI AKTIVITAS DIURETIK EKSTRAK DAGING BUAH KEPEL (Stelechocarpus burahol (Blume) Hook. f. & Thomson) PADA TIKUS PUTIH GALUR WISTAR
Daftar Isi:
- The kepel fruit (Stelechocarpus burahol (Blume) Hook. f. & Thomson) was empirically known as urine stimulator. The purpose of this research is to identify whether there is the diuretic effect in the mesocarp of kepel extract also to determine the best dose in giving such activity. The research was done by using 24 white mice which was divided by six groups. Group I as positive control was given hydrochlorothiazide 1.97 mg/kgBW, group II, III, IV, V were given the extract respectively 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/kgBW, whilst group VI was given aquadest as negative control. The preparations were given orally and been given also every mice 2 mL of aquadest once in three hours. The measurement parameters include diuretic potecy percentage, qualitative analysis for mouse urines and cumulative urine volume which then analysed with Kruskal-Wallis test proceeded by Mann-Whitney test. The result of the research indicates the presence of diuretic activity in the kepel mesocarp extract. The best dose for diuretic effect was shown by the extract dose of 500 mg/kgBW with the average of cumulative urine volume of 3.8875 ± 0.3051 mL and the percentage value of diuretic potency is 66.71%.
