HUBUNGAN ANTARA HARGA DIRI DENGAN ASERTIVITAS PADA SISWA KELAS X DI SMA NEGERI Y PALEMBANG

- The research objective was to determine the relationship betweem self-esteem with assertiveness on 10th grade students SMA Negeri Y Palembang. The study hypothesis that there was relationship between self-esteem with assertiveness on 10th grade students SMA Negeri Y Palembang. Study population was the whole 10th grade students SMA Negeri Y Palembang totaling 440 students. The sample used 195 students, and try out used 54 students, used simple random sampling. Self-esteem and assertiveness was measured by scale of self-esteem and assertiveness, with modification self-esteem inventory from Coopersmith (1967) and aspects of assertiveness from Alberti and Emmons (2017). Data analysis used Pearson’s Product Moment. The result obtained by value of R=0,464 with p=0,000 (p<0,05). It shows there was a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem with assertiveness and proved that the higher self-esteem, the more higher of assertiveness on 10th grade students SMA Negeri Y Palembang. Thus the hypothesis is accepted.
