  • The purpose of this study was to discover the relation between conformity and impulsive buying on K-POP enthusiast teenagers in Palembang. The hypothesis of this study was there was a relation between conformity and impulsive buying. The sample of this study was 100 K-POP enthusiast teenagers in Palembang through purposive sampling technique. The scale used was Conformity Scale based on the conformity principles which were purposed by Baron and Bryne (2005). Furthermore, the impulsive buying scale was also conducted by the researchers based on impulsive buying characteristics from Rook (1987). The outcome of the hypothesis showed that there was a negative correlation between conformity and impulsive buying with significant score of p = 0,004 (p<0,05) and R correlation = -0,282. The higher conformity of the teenagers was, the lower their impulsive buying. In conclusion is, their low conformity would lead to high impulsive buying of these K-pop enthusiast teenagers.
