PENGARUH KOMPOSISI EPOXY RESIN TERHADAP SIFAT MEKANIK, SIFAT MAGNET DAN STRUKTUR MIKRO PADA PEMBUATAN MAGNET KOMPOSIT BARIUM HEKSAFERIT (BaFe12O19)
Daftar Isi:
- A research on the preparation and characterization of BaFe12O19 bonded magnets from commercial BaFe12O19 powder material mixed with various epoxy resin compositions. Epoxy resins were varied by 2.5% and 5% with one minute pressurization using 25oC. Characterization includes mechanical properties (compressive strength), magnetic properties (hysteresis curves) and microstructures. Printed samples were characterized using Compressive Strength Test, VSM (Vibreting Sample Magnetometer) and XRD (X-Ray Diffraction). Then the barium hexaferrite powder was mixed with epoxy resin and added two drops of catalyst and printed using a hydraulic press tool 25C. The aging process is carried out for ± 24 hours with a temperature of 60C. Furthermore, tests of mechanical properties (compressive strength), magnetic properties test (hysteresis curve), and microstructure test. The result of sample characterization for compressive strength test showed that the sample with epoxy resin composition of 5% had the highest value of compressive strength, which was 7.3 kgf. Analysis with VSM test with epoxy resin composition as much as 5% have good magnetic properties condition seen from high remanensi value that is 30.03 emu/gram. From the measurement of the XRD test on the sample, the results show that there is a single phase BaFe12O19 in the sample, with the highest BaFe12O19 crystal structure values found in the sample with a 2.5% epoxy resin composition ie 8,71161248 nm.
