PENGARUH NUTRIENT PRIMING BENIH TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN AWAL PADI PADA KONDISI CEKAMAN TERENDAM

- The aim of this study was to observe the effects of nutrient priming to growth of rice under submergence stress . This research was conducted on Januari until April 2018 in soaking tub and greenhouse at Agriculture faculty, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. The experiment used Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and three replications. The first treatment was without priming and without submergence stress, second treatment was without priming with submergence stress, and for third to fifth treatments consisted of 3 nutrients, ZnSO4.7H2O, H3BO3, and KH2PO4 with submergence stress. The variables observed were germination, shoot length, fresh weight seedling and root, root length, dry weight seedling and root, leaves number, leaves chlorophyl, and shoot root ratio. The result showed that the nutrient priming used in this study had the ability of each to the observed parameter and treatments which gave the best effects on submergence stress were of Zn and B , whereas P only affected root growth and leaves chlorophyl.
