  • Background: Tumors are abnormal mass that are overgrown and uncoordinated although the stimuli that trigger growth have been stopped. Although Testicular tumors is a rare case, but it’s the most common malignancy in men aged between 15-35 years and also is the 1-2% of all male neoplasms. This study aims to determine the prevalence of testical tumour in Dr. Moh. Hoesin Palembang hospital in 2012-2016. Method: This study was an observational descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. Data were obtained from medical records at Pathological Anatomy Department Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang in period 2012-2016. From 43.153 cases which were examined histopathologically, 51 cases of testicular neoplasia were found. Results: Prevalence of testical tumour in Dr. Moh. Hoesin Hospital Period of 2012-2016 is 0.11%. The age range of patients with testicular tumors in this study was 1 to 82 years, and most patients were in the 25-36 year age group (34%). Clinical symptoms are most often complained by the patient is a painless lump (55%). The most common risk factors are history of trauma (13.5%). The most common type of histopathologic feature is testicular seminoma (31.4%). Conclusion: Prevalence of testicular tumor in Pathological Anatomy Department Dr. Moh. Hoesin Hospital is 0.11%, with the highest prevalence was in 2012 with percentage of 0.2%. Testicular seminoma is the most common type of histopathologic feature in testicular tumors.
