- Position and Role of the Republic of Indonesia Ombudsman Representative of South Sumatra in the Indonesian Constitutional System in the Framework of Realizing Good Governance Principles '' this thesis is based on the birth of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia as an external supervisory institution in which the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia of South Sumatra has a position as a supervisory institution representing the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia. The type of research used is empirical research. The research approach used is the statutory approach and analytical approach. The writing of this thesis is based on primary and secondary data obtained through the field and library materials. Primary data is done by Observation and Interview while the secondary data is analyzed by descriptive method and analysis and withdrawal of conclusions using inductive thinking logic. The results showed that: 1. According to the Representative Ombudsman of South Sumatra that its position is a hierarchy with the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia so that it has the same authority, duties and functions as the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia 2. The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia Representative of South Sumatra has a constitutional role in realizing good governance is the role of implementing legal certainty in government good, the role of implementing good governance, the role of impartiality, the role of accuracy, the role of carrying out the abuse of authority, the role of carrying out openness, the role of carrying out public interests, the role of carrying out good services, the role of carrying out supervision of public services in South Sumatra.
