- The objectives of this research are: (1) To explain the similarities and differences of Organic Rice Farming and Rice Production Using Some Organic Inputs on Musi Rawas Regency, (2) To analyze what factors influence the production of Organic Rice Farming and Rice Production Using Some Organic Inputs on Musi Rawas Regency, (3) To examine the differences the second income of the farming system, (4) identify what factors become the determinants of the farmers to certify the organic rice. This research was conducted in Desa Suka Makmur and Desa C Nawangsasi. Data collection at the research location took place in June 2016. The research method used is survey method. The sampling method used in this research is the method of proportionatestratified random sampling, where the layer is the farmers who do certified organic rice farming and organic rice has not been certified where the number of farmers taken as sample is 49 people with 30 samples for organic rice farmers and 19 rice production using some organic inputs. The data collected consist of primary data and secondary data. Based on the result of research, there are similarities and differences in organic rice farming and rice production using some organic inputs on Musi Rawas District. Significant factors affecting the production of organic rice farming and rice production using some organic inputs on Musi Rawas are seeds. This study shows the average number of organic rice farming of 2,488.33 kg/lg/mt and 5,319.47 for the production using some organic inputs. There was statistically significant differences in income between organic rice farming and rice production using some organic inputs. The income of organic rice farming is Rp. 24,490,750/lg/mt higher than the income of rice production using some organic inputs Rp. 15.227.947,37/lg/mt with difference of Rp. 9.262.802,63/lg/mt. All the factors tested as determinant of farmers to certify organic rice are not significant ie land area, extension frequency, duration of inorganic to organic land transfer, production amount and education.
